Brand Spotlight – Three stunning Azimut yachts for fractional sharing

Azimut. It’s a name that simply shouts ‘luxury’ in every way, and we have a grand total of three stunning Azimut yachts for you to share on a fractional basis. Here’s some insight into a yacht brand that has more than fifty years of excellence behind it, still going strong and still one of the world’s best-respected yacht designers and builders. Will you choose an Azimut yacht to share based in Mallorca, Cape Town, or Miami and Fort Lauderdale?

About Azimut – The ultimate in luxurious Italian style

Azimut Yachts started life in 1969 thanks to the university student Paolo Vitelli, who founded a company chartering sailing boats. When, in 1970, a handful of world-class yacht brands appointed his company to distribute their boats in Italy, Vitelli never looked back. Azimut expanded quickly, soon taking on a whole lot more than yacht distribution. Their very first yacht design, a collaboration with Amerglass, was the AZ 43’ Bali, a hugely popular mass-produced fibreglass boat.

Starting off at the low end of the market, the company expanded gradually. The AZ 32’ Targa in 1977 proved the Model T Ford of the yacht world, and the luxury market soon saw the first Azimut craft in the shape of the wonderful Azimut 105’ Failaka in 1982. She fast became the world’s biggest mass-produced fibreglass yacht.

By the time they bought Benetti in 1985 Azimut had well and truly arrived. From then until now the company has defined a suite of new styles and standards designed to revolutionised the sector. Massive frameless windows, electric seats, real walnut interiors, they’re all an Azimut thing.

New boatyards at Fano, restructured Benetti boatyards at Viareggio, plus a new site in Turin makes Azimut one of the world’s best yacht and megayacht builders. These days they also have sites in Brazil, and their unique Advanced Quality Control Program means every single craft they release is perfect in every way.

So what do we have for you in the way of Azimut masterpieces?

The Azimut 60 – Miami and Fort Lauderdale

Thanks to wonderfully easy water access, Fort Lauderdale is one of the world’s biggest yachting capitals, a place whose Intercoastal Waterway is known as the Venice of the Americas. It’s incredibly beautiful. The New River, Atlantic Ocean and countless fascinating waterways await you, including the best in fine dining, fabulous sandy beaches, and a totally chilled vibe. The city itself offers a gorgeous semi-tropical climate with over 3000 hours of sunshine a year. It also offers top-class diving opportunities and an unusually sophisticated yachting lifestyle.

The boat? She’s a contemporary masterpiece with an impressive length of just over sixty feet. She features two 1600 mHP Man Engines and has a maximum speed of 31 Knots along with a cruising speed of 26 Knots. The interior is beautifully appointed, with design by Achille Salvagni, and the exterior, with its unusually large main deck windows, is designed by Stefano Righini Design.

An open plan galley, big saloon, lots of seating and generous storage is yours, plus three staterooms including a massive master suite and a crew cabin, together giving you room for 8 people over 8 berths. And there are 3 heads plus a crew head.

This boat features one of the biggest flybridges on any 60-footer and she’s stuffed with every imaginable variety of electronics, technology and equipment including EPS electronic power steering, a hydraulic swim platform, TV, radio, and aircon.

The Azimut 60 – Cape Town

The same amazing boat but an entirely different location… we have another supreme Azimut 60 for you, this time-based in Cape Town, your perfect destination for winter sunshine. Cruise the glorious Langebaan Lagoon, explore the waters from False Bay to Clifton Beach, enjoy the whale and shark sightings, the exceptional diving, the sheer beauty of this extraordinary location in all its exotic glory.

The craft herself is 59 feet ten inches long and features a pair of VOLVO D13 900 mHP engines. Her max speed is 31 Knots and her cruising speed 26 Knots. She offers lots of room for six guests plus crew and like our other Azimut 60, comes with one of the biggest flybridges on any 60-foot boat.

There are 3 large cabins with ensuite bathrooms, a huge master cabin, a big VIP forward cabin, plus a twin bed cabin to starboard, all with interiors by Achille Salvagni. She’s sleek, minimalist and very comfortable, known and loved as the best family cruiser in her class, ideal for family and corporate entertainment. Two stunning interior lounges plus oodles of top class equipment complete the picture.

Mallorca’s famous Puerto Portals is the Med’s most stylish marina, a global destination for luxury yachting. It’s easy to get to thanks to frequent flights.
